Forest Bathing & Mindfulness Workshop
Saturday, October 24, 2020
Experience the beauty of our grounds through this three-hour nature immersion along the Fox River. Guided by Matthew Larson, this technology-free workshop will introduce the benefits of forest bathing and tips for the best results. The silent forest bathing walk will begin and end with guided meditation. The program will conclude with a wrap up to process the experience. Price includes a simple participant-made journal, water bottles, and information on taking the forest bathing experience into your everyday life.
Matthew grew up exploring the forest around his home near central Illinois, instilling his rooted connection with nature. Through his study and practice of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, Matthew gained a deep understanding of the interwoven relationship between our internal and external environments. This led to his exploration of Shinrin-Yoku, Japanese forest bathing and nature therapy as ways to improve his mental and physical health, while also increasing his happiness and decreasing stress and burnout. This is the experience Matthew intends to share by guiding others in a detoxifying re-connection with ourselves and with nature.
Guided tour of the house is NOT included.
6 guests minimum required for program to run.
