Photographer Elizabeth Daniels photographed Farnsworth House in the summer of 2018 at the request of the late John H. Bryan Jr., who led the philanthropic effort to purchase the house for the National Trust in 2003. Elizabeth’s images capture a mood of quiet contemplation and reflection – a fitting tribute not only to John Bryan’s benevolence but also to Edith Farnsworth’s innovative vision to commission a modern country home that celebrates the Midwest landscape.
